Longer description:
The OVRO prototype typically remains on-sun from dawn to dusk when not undergoing repair or testing. Its field of view subtends the entire solar disk at all frequencies from 245 MHz to 18 GHz. It may therefore contribute to many coordinated observing campaigns pursued by the scientific community, even those which concentrate on individual active regions.
