Activity Detailed View
NA1 Observational Infrastructure Networking
NA1 focuses on maximizing the synergies between the two key elements of Europe’s infrastructure in Planetary Science – ground-based telescopes and space missions. This Networking Activity ensures that there is permanent and sustainable framework for the pooling of joint resources and coordinating of activities between them. It supports two general coordinated observation modes:
- Space mission complementary science observations: ground-based observations of potential targets that are, will or have been observed by spacecraft instruments, to complement the scientific results of the European Space Agency’s space missions.
- Space mission technical supporting observations: observations assisting the preparation or the operational stage of a planetary mission.
